Snow Snow Snow!

And more snow. It's a winter wonderland today! The perfect day to stay inside (except for a snowy walk) and catch up on school and home tasks. I made blueberry muffins and chiles rellanos for breakfast, and Alberto's stracciatella soup for lunch.

Treats for Sophie

Ava and I spent an afternoon together and did a few projects. One was making homemade dog treats for Sophie.

What a joy to bring in the New Year with dear friends John and Letha! In past years it has been a challenge to stay awake to see midnight, but the time flew by and we ended up talking till 1:30!

A new tradition

For the second year Ron and I decided to give each other a getaway right after Christmas, instead of stuff. We went again to the Chrysalis, and it was super relaxing! A window seat overlooking Taylor Dock-what could be better?

Remembering sunny days

This is the lovely cheerful frame that Ava and Nicole make for me for Christmas, complete with a picture of Ava planting her sunflower house. So bright and colorful and a reminder of warm days that were and are yet to come!

Birthday Sushi

Nicole turned 25 this year and we celebrated at Kuru Kuru Sushi, then  had chocolate cheesecake at her apartment.  Fun times celebrating our sweet, beautiful and talented daughter!
